Whether you’re vegan, lactose intolerant, or simply trying to cut down on added sugars, this treat is sure to satisfy when the ice cream cravings hit. Who knew you could make a delicious, soft-serve-like dessert with just bananas? Enjoy the natural banana-y flavor on its own or customize your ice cream by adding cocoa powder, raspberries, or maybe a swirl of nut butter and crushed walnuts.

Ingredients

  • Frozen bananas
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Optional ingredients: chocolate chips, cocoa powder, blueberries, raspberries, nut butter, chopped walnuts

Directions

Mash the frozen bananas using a food processor until the consistency is similar to that of soft-serve ice cream. If there are any banana chunks left, use a blender to process them further.

Once the bananas have reached your desired consistency, add the vanilla extract and any other ‘add-ins’ that you like, such as chocolate chips or blueberries.
